Toby Keith's Wild Shot Mezcal Raises Funds At Charity Golf Event

NASHVILLE, Tenn., May 28, 2014
Summer means two things for singer, songwriter and entertainer Toby Keith – playing packed venues nationwide, and lots of cool beverages featuring his Wild Shot Mezcal being hoisted in the air. But before his tours kick off, Keith is in the habit of raising money for a great cause...and Wild Shot got in on the action, too.
As Toby Keith's signature adult beverage, Wild Shot had a big presence at the Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic this month in Oklahoma, helping to raise money for the Toby Keith Foundation's efforts to help critically ill children and their families. In addition to an autographed bottle being one of the many auction items, Wild Shot brought along its inflatable bar to offer libations to tournament players. The portable watering hole has become a fixture at Toby's standing-room-only shows, and will be again with this year's Shut Up And Hold On Tour Presented by Ford F-Series.
A humorous moment over the event weekend had Wild Shot's Chief Marketing Officer Shawn Harlan being pulled over while driving the company's logo-wrapped vehicle. The patrol officer had no complaints about Harlan's driving, however. He just wanted to let Harlan know that he had recently entered the "Drinks After Work" Sweepstakes for a chance to have a drink after work with Toby, courtesy of Wild Shot. Fans, uniformed or not, can still enter at: through Aug. 31.
Thousands of fans will get to have their own drinks with Toby at one of his many concerts this summer. Whether it's a shot or the beloved "Blue Mezcalita" cocktail, Wild Shot and Toby Keith music will be the perfect complement to each other at venues coast-to-coast.
Toby Keith is coming off a high-profile performance on CBS' ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute To The Troops at which he received the prestigious Spirit of the USO award. Country music's "$500 Million Man" (Forbes) is one of the genre's top-drawing performers, as well as a successful entrepreneur in music, restaurants (Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill) and, of course, spirits.
About Wild Shot: Toby Keith launched Wild Shot, a handcrafted, 100% green agave, 86.8 proof mezcal, in 2011 and almost immediately it began winning awards. Wild Shot was named the top premium mezcal in the United States according to industry publication Beverage Media. In 2013, Wild Shot received a gold medal in the "Best Mezcal" awards by award-winning lifestyle website, raters of "the finest in wines and spirits." Publications Food and Drink, Shanken News Daily and The Tasting Panel also weighed in with high praise. Wild Shot is imported by Shaw-Ross, a leading importer and marketer of fine wines and spirits and is available in 41 states. Many of the Wild Shot cocktails, including the "Ciudad" and "Swamp Water," were created at Keith's restaurant, I Love This Bar & Grill, the home of Wild Shot Mezcal. Find them at
