We all raised our glasses to the 2nd annual National Mezcal Day on October 21st, 2012. Spirit websites and blogs like ChilledMagazine.com, LAist.com, and the Examiner.com (just to name a few) celebrated by posting their own press regarding the holiday. Other exciting highlights from the week included the official launch of Wild Shot’s new website, a brand new Wild Shot cocktail called Hope On The Rocks, and daily Wild Shot giveaways through Facebook and Twitter.
During the week leading up to National Mezcal Day, we hosted our most fun social media campaign to boot. From all over the nation, fans submitted to Wild Shot’s Facebook Page a photo of their best impression as Toby Keith for what we coined as the “Toby Keith Doppelganger Challenge”. The winner received a Toby Keith prize pack and… respect. It was only right to launch a Toby Look-Alike campaign to celebrate not only National Mezcal Day, but the man who declared the holiday in the first place.
Fans really loved this season’s brand new Wild Shot cocktail coined “Hope On The Rocks” in honor of Toby’s new album called… well, you guessed it… Hope on the Rocks. Get the album and check out the recipe below. This delicious cocktail and Toby's smooth voice will surely warm you up tonight.
